In 2019, two Singapore-based engineers—one from China, one from Malaysia—met at a crypto meetup and discovered a shared frustration: overseas Chinese couldn't easily top up their WeChat, Alipay, or game accounts using crypto. Existing solutions required ID verification or charged high fees. They built Chinatrunk as a USDT-only bridge, processing 27,000+ orders from 84 countries without ever asking for a selfie.
